Meet Kate and Nick

Hello, we are Kate and Nick Capriola and we are the proud owners of Whispering Willow Pet Funeral & Cremation Services. I have been a licensed funeral director for 15 years, most of that time in Rockford; while Nick has been in advertising and marketing since our return to the area. We opened Whispering Willow Pet Funeral and Cremation services after the loss of our beloved dog, Bella. Through our grief and healing, we identified that there was a lack of services and resources surrounding the loss of a pet. We felt that bringing our professional and personal experience of navigating our loss would be a beautiful way to share our support with grieving families. We understand the complexity of grief and believe wholeheartedly that honoring our passed loved ones - both pets and people - is the first step in the path to healing.
