Zeus Spychalski

Zeus Spychalski-Kjell passed away on Wednesday, April 19th, 2023 after being diagnosed with double kidney failure. He was ~12 years old.

Harrison Kjell adopted Zeus the moment he met him after meeting his original owners in Janesville WI. I should say that he adopted me. He went right with me when I met him and hopped right in my car like it was his own. At first he had separation anxiety and would chew up stuff around the house but eventually got used to me working most of the day.

He was a big fan of long walks, fishing trips, and of course CAR RIDES ! Zeus had the magical ability to capture the hearts of anyone he met. His beautiful brindle coat and stoic demeanor was impressive. He loved to wear himself exhausted with play and then would immediately love to snuggle up and sleep as soon as you laid down or sat on the couch after. He was an exceedingly patient dog and friend. For more than 12 years he let so many into his life. When I was unable to care for him any longer I let my brother Austin and his Mother Michelle adopt him. They cared for him in the second half of his wonderful life and cared for him like any great family members would. He loved to go on long walks with Austin and Michelle as well as keep them company on any given night in Loves Park. He was a great friend to Carter and Morgan as well. His loyalty never wavered and he watched their home like a hawk and always alerted them of potential intruders. But one of his favorite things was when Michelle would sneak him a treat or people food behind Austin’s back. Eventually his diet was upgraded by his new mom to meals of cooked chicken, rice and vegetables prepared by his mom, Michelle.

He was a beautiful, friendly dog that never bit or scratched. But His bark was audible throughout the whole house, especially at night, when he thought he had to go to war for his family. The house is too quiet now without him, and his cuddles and vibrant attitude of love and gratitude will be sorely missed. We're glad to know that he's happily chasing down tennis balls and playing in Heaven, and no longer in pain.

Buddy left us on February 6th to be reunited with his Momma Zoey. He was an absolute joy to have in our life every day. He was able to feel all of our human emotions and was always there at the right time to help you through it and bring your spirits back up. He had the best Elvis lip, loved to play ball for hours, loved watching tv, especially Yellowstone and of course The Dog Club Show! He absolutely loved going for walks and car rides any chance he got. He will truly be missed deeply. Until we meet again at The Rainbow Bridge.

Delilah, age 12 years old, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on February 6th, 2026. Cremation services accorded. Arrangements entrusted to Whispering Willow Pet Funeral & Cremation Services. She loved people, playing with the kids and chasing the ball around the yard. She also loved playing with her fur siblings and cuddling on the couch with anyone willing. Being outside and in the sun was her favorite thing to do. There's no way to sum up 12 years of life in just a few paragraphs. There is so much to say about Delilah and her bond with Zeus that she developed. We brought her home at 8 weeks old with her litter mate/partner in crime; Zeus. Watching them live life together melted my heart and every fiber in my body. Now they're reunited again and chasing each other endlessly at The Rainbow Bridge together. They used to sleep together like a couple of cats. They both loved being in the back yard and chasing the kids around or playing tug of war with them. Beanie (Delilah) loved laying in our laps eve at 50lb like she was a little puppy again. She would hang out in the yard on the beautiful days for hours on end, it was always a struggle getting her to come inside. If you had a ball, you instantly became her best friend, although she never was any good about bringing the ball back, but she'd definitely run around with it in her mouth. People are always quick to judge Pit Bulls, but Beanie was the most loyal and loving dog anyone could have ever hoped to own. She will truly be missed deeply at home and we will meet again at The Rainbow Bridge one day.

Myrrh, age 14 years old, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 30th, 2026. Cremation services accorded. Arrangements entrusted to Whispering Willow Pet Funeral & Cremation Services. Myrrh loved the massage gun and was a great mouser even though she was declawed in the front. She got pushed one time when she decided to play with Morgan and she was very sassy and only wanted attention and love on her terms, nobody else's. She will be deeply missed, and we will meet again at The Rainbow Bridge.
