Petra Garcia

Petra, age 10, passed away on February 29, 2024.

Petra was a loving, gentle sweetheart. A retired racer, she was born in July 2013, and joined her forever home a little over 6 years ago. Petra was so reserved and shy compared to the other greys we looked at that day, but she bonded to us immediately. We didn’t choose her that day, she chose us.

Petra loved to sunbathe and do zoomies all over the backyard. She was always in the mood for tummy rubs, neck scratches, or just cuddling. She had many napping places all throughout the house but curled up on her bed in front of the TV was always her favorite.

Petra crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Leap Day, forever reminding us that friends as special as her only come around every so often. She made a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Thank you, Petra, for choosing us that day at the rescue, to spend the rest of your life with. We will always love you. You will forever be missed, but never forgotten.

One of our favorite activities with Brew was riding in the pontoon together. He was a very calm, dostile dog who loved children.

There is so much to say about my Zozo, all of her memories are my favorite. She loved riding in the car; she would always sit up and look out the window any chance she got. She always knew when i turned the corner to get on our road home, even if she fell asleep. She would wake up right as i made the turn. She also loved getting her bedtime treat every night. She always knew when it was bedtime even if I wasn't ready for bed myself. She would go into the kitchen and bark until I would hand out the treats. She will be greatly missed.
