Cisco Cook

Cisco, age 14, passed away August 9, 2023.

Today we had to say goodbye to our handsome, grumpy old man, Cisco. Cisco joined the Cook family as a kitten in April 2009 - being rescued from a cat hoarding situation. Cisco was one of two kittens brought home that day. His brother, Diego, has predeceased Cisco.

Cisco earned his name from being an explorer at a young age (San FranCISCO). He loved to play with toys as a kitten and enjoyed catching mice and the occasional rabbit and bird as he grew bigger. Cisco enjoyed exploring the woods, making his debut on trail cameras to let us know he was still enjoying the great outdoors. Cisco could also be found cuddling on the back porch with his best dog friend, Sammy, popping up in the kitchen window to tell us he wanted attention (or a shortcut through the house to the garage), and reminding us he could see a small "hole" in his food dish and needed more.

Cisco may have been semi-feral, but he enjoyed the occasional pet (letting us know by his purring and drooling) and was a Momma's boy and protector, as he would wait for her to come home from work and escort her from the car to the house.

We will miss you, Cisco, but we are happy that you are reunited with your cuddle buddy.

Buddy, age 7 years old, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on February 6th, 2026. Cremation services accorded. Arrangements entrusted to Whispering Willow Pet Funeral & Cremation Services. Buddy left us on February 6th to be reunited with his Momma Zoey. He was an absolute joy to have in our life every day. He was able to feel all of our human emotions and was always there at the right time to help you through it and bring your spirits back up. He had the best Elvis lip, loved to play ball for hours, loved watching tv, especially Yellowstone and of course The Dog Club Show! He absolutely loved going for walks and car rides any chance he got. He will truly be missed deeply. Until we meet again at The Rainbow Bridge.

Delilah, age 12 years old, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on February 6th, 2026. Cremation services accorded. Arrangements entrusted to Whispering Willow Pet Funeral & Cremation Services. She loved people, playing with the kids and chasing the ball around the yard. She also loved playing with her fur siblings and cuddling on the couch with anyone willing. Being outside and in the sun was her favorite thing to do. There's no way to sum up 12 years of life in just a few paragraphs. There is so much to say about Delilah and her bond with Zeus that she developed. We brought her home at 8 weeks old with her litter mate/partner in crime; Zeus. Watching them live life together melted my heart and every fiber in my body. Now they're reunited again and chasing each other endlessly at The Rainbow Bridge together. They used to sleep together like a couple of cats. They both loved being in the back yard and chasing the kids around or playing tug of war with them. Beanie (Delilah) loved laying in our laps eve at 50lb like she was a little puppy again. She would hang out in the yard on the beautiful days for hours on end, it was always a struggle getting her to come inside. If you had a ball, you instantly became her best friend, although she never was any good about bringing the ball back, but she'd definitely run around with it in her mouth. People are always quick to judge Pit Bulls, but Beanie was the most loyal and loving dog anyone could have ever hoped to own. She will truly be missed deeply at home and we will meet again at The Rainbow Bridge one day.

Myrrh, age 14 years old, crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 30th, 2026. Cremation services accorded. Arrangements entrusted to Whispering Willow Pet Funeral & Cremation Services. Myrrh loved the massage gun and was a great mouser even though she was declawed in the front. She got pushed one time when she decided to play with Morgan and she was very sassy and only wanted attention and love on her terms, nobody else's. She will be deeply missed, and we will meet again at The Rainbow Bridge.
